Saltillo! Week 6

Hey mom!

We arrived safely to President Cahoon´s house and he fed us breakfast and we are emailing, being interviewed, and taking naps until lunch. We will meet our companions tomorrow and tonight we go out and teach immediately. So exciting! Pres. and sis. Cahoon are amazing and so kind. They have a great vision for the mission which I´d like to share with you but I don´t have much time. I´m glad we could talk today on the phone. It was impossible to keep myself together in front of a bunch of people on a phone, but that´s okay. It doesn´t matter. Apparently the rule is that in our houses we speak only english and in the field we speak only spanish. It´s gonna be great! It was hard to hear you guys when we talked today, but I could feel the spirit and I hope you felt the spirit as I bore my testimony to yáll.

Notes from Mom: This was Simon's letter to everyone else-
Hey everyone!

Just wanted to write quickly that I'm now in Saltillo! I arrived safely and am currently in the home of the mission president with all of the new arrivals. My P-day has been changed to Mondays, so plan on hearing from me on Mondays. 

Talking to my family at 4 in the morning was quite an adventure. It took a while to get it working, but after a while I could talk with them. Even though it was hard to hear them... I still had a great time.

My challenge for you today is... to talk to your family. Tonight is family night and I suggest you get together with yours and do something. Have a lesson, do an activity, go out for ice cream. I don't care... just do something with your family because your family is very important! Cherish the moments you have with them!

Notes from Mom: Simon has a WIFI enabled camera. This means he can take pictures and share them to his google drive. He sent a note that told us where he was going. We need to talk to him about when he sends pictures though so he is following the rules.
