And he's off!

We dropped off Simon at the airport this morning!  It was a tough thing to do, but I was so grateful as I hugged him a tearful goodbye that I could tell him, "Go find your friends at the gate!" He had Elders Cebollero and Atkin there, as well as Elder Turner and his parents who were travelling on business and could be at the gate.  They sent a picture of the boys together.  I tracked his flight and was so pleased to see a picture on the Mexico MTC page just a couple of days later.  We got a quick email telling us that he was there safe and companions with Elder Turner.

"Hey Mom. We got here safely and I´ve met a lot of elders going to my mission. Elder Atkin and Elder Ceballero are here; they are companions. My companion is Elder Joshua Turner. He seems like a pretty good guy. He´s the one that flew up from St. George. I only have so much time, but my P-days are on thursdays. I WILL NOT HAVE ONE THIS WEEK. It will start next week. Send love to everyone, probably an email as well. Love you!"

All is well and we anxiously await hearing how the Spanish is going.  We are so grateful that Simon can have this experience and look forward to what he will share with us.
